New Shoes. New Blog.

04.28.2010

You know the feeling when you get a new pair of shoes? Ones to replace your favorite old pair that you so dearly loved before, but that had been worn out and in much need of a replacement?? You open the pretty box, remove the fabulous shoes you have been eying for months from the crisp tissue paper, place them on your pedicured feet, and ahhhhhh total satisfaction. You feel refreshed and pretty and ohh so happy…… well that is how I feel today, not because I have a new pair of shoes but because I  have a new blog! One to replace my sweet old blog that had been perfect for me in a certain season of life, but needed to be updated, refreshed and NEW!

I have been needing this update for a while, but it was one of those things that kept being at the bottom of my lists of things to do, because my old blog was just so comfy and cozy. Sometimes the thought of completely abandoning all I know for something new is hard for me. Whenever I feel that way I just have to slap my self and say, “Woman, wake up!” I am always so glad that I branch out even though it takes some getting use to sometimes.

I would not have been able to do it though with out the fabulous help of Joe Godbee!  He did an amazing job designing my new blog, and listened to me ramble about all the things I needed and wanted. He took time to explain all the little details every step of the way and made the transition from blogger to wordpress a dream! If you are looking for someone to design a website for you, please visit his website & check out his incredible work. He does an amazing job!

Well, I am on vacation in Jacksonville to enjoy my precious family and the beautiful weather. I will be blogging saturday’s Wedding in the next few days. I hope you enjoy the new blog make sure to update your bookmarks and your RSS readers, in the mean time ……..I am off to buy some new shoes :)

Love Always,

Amanda Suanne

Brittany and Tyler are getting married in June and I can’t wait for their wedding! They are such a sweet couple. Josh and I had a fabulous time getting to know them at their engagement shoot at Aly’s Beach. Here are my favorites from their session! Enjoy!

Kristen & JD

04.21.2010

Kristen and JD were married this past Saturday at Coleman Beach in Seaside, FL. They were joined by fifty of their closest friends and family, who celebrated with them on this special day. I met Kristen and JD in November for their engagement session, and I knew immediately how special their wedding was going to be. They both smile all the time and find joy in the little things. I am soooo happy for Kristen and JD and honored to be a part of their day.
Kristen had me cracking up the day of the wedding. After they had their first look with each other, JD said, “What about the kiss?” He realized they had not discussed what kiss they would do at the alter, and Kristen quickly said, “The Amanda Suanne Kiss”. I was like what is that, LOL. She said, “Kiss and Hold, Kiss and Hold” I was laughing so hard. I shoot a lot so anytime I do a kiss shot I always got Kristen and JD to hold it for a long time and You know they LOVE it!!

These first few shots are of Kristen getting ready. Her Mom and sister joined her in her beachfront cottage. Kristen looked gorgeous!

I simply adore this ring! Isn’t it beautiful?

This is Ryan the ring bearer. He was oh so adorable and a total ladies man! He asked one of the ladies at the reception to dance, and when he brought her to the floor he started breakdancing and spinning on the ground. It was priceless. I never knew he had those kind of moves in him.

Kristen and JD opted to see each other before the wedding. It was a special Moment. Kristen’s face lit up when she saw him for the first time.

FAVORITE SHOT!

Nouveau Flowers did an amazing job on the flowers for the wedding. Isn’t her bouquet beautiful Peonies are my favorite.

Townsend Catering did a fabulous job with the food and the cake….oh the cake….it was so delish thanks to Confections on the Coast. They do a fabulous job!!

Congrat’s again Kristen and JD and have a fabulous time in Turks and Caicos!
